Day Zero Project

Many of us have made New Year's resolutions -- don't deny it, I know you have.  Now whether we have complete any or all of our resolutions remains to be seen.  While surfing the net, I came across a blog where the woman talked about her 101 in 1001 list and that she was almost done.  Great for her, but what is this 101 in 1001 of which she speaks?  Curious, I decided to look it up and was led to the website called The Day Zero Project.  The site was developed to support and motivate people to post their goals and get inspired by the ideas and challenges of others.  What the heck.  Sign me up.

Want to know more?  Sure you do!  So what is 101 in 1001?  Well, here's the scoop.  You are supposed to come up with 101 goals to complete in 1001 days or 2.75 years.  Given my love of lists and planning I have decided to try it.  I feel so much better when I can cross something off my list.  Although I have already joined Mama Jean's Mission of the Month, I thought this would be a great way to motivate me to complete additional goals.

This goal setting reminded me of a book I recently read -- No it is not "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie" it is called "The Sunday Book of Dreams" by Kris Radish.  I highly recommend it to any woman, well heck any man might enjoy it as well.  Trust me go to this link and read the available pages.  You will be hooked or at least I was.  Back to the Day Zero Project (aka 101 in 1001), you log in and can could keep your list (and view others -- depending on your settings) and check things off as you go.  The site also kept your start date and gave you the date you would complete.  I am sure now you are asking 'could?'  Due to the overwhelming response of New Year's resolutions, the site crashed, and although we have been reassured by the owner that the site will be back up and running, it has already been a month.  No matter what happens to the site, I have made my list.  If you are interested in my goals for the next 2.75 years, look under my Day Zero Project.  If you are inspired send me a link!
